Fleet and Equipment Maintenance Technician

Zoomin Groomin is a National Company with a very busy premium Mobile Grooming Service. We are growing fast and ready to invest in new talents to support technically our groomers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Fleet Equipment Preventative Maintenance

  • Own and execute all scheduled preventative maintenance activities across the fleet equipment (generators, water heaters, water pumps, dryers, HVAC systems, vacuums, grooming tables, battery management systems, inverters, and other salon equipment)

  • Coordinate with auto shops for vehicle oil changes, tire maintenance, inspections, and major vehicle repairs.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and schedules

2. Fleet Equipment Repairs & Diagnostics

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, generator, battery, inverter, and grooming equipment failures.

  • Manage and prioritize all maintenance requests

  • Troubleshoot vehicle-related issues and coordinate with auto shops

3. Emergency Field Support

  • Respond by phone to equipment failures during business hours.

  • Travel to van locations throughout the service area to restore operations, if necessary.

  • Communicate status with Operations Managers and groomers.

4. Fleet Improvement Projects

  • Recommend and Complete van equipment improvements.

5. Inventory & Parts Management

  • Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and consumables.

6. Performance Expectations

  • Maintain fleet availability above 95%.

  • Complete preventative maintenance activities on schedule.

  • Maintain an accurate and current repair backlog.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of fleet reliability.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Experience maintaining RV-type fleets, trailers, or similar mobile equipment.

  • Handyman experience including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, generator, battery, and inverter systems.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Schedule

  • Flexible schedule. Around 10hrs/week required. Hours will increase as the fleet size will continue to increase

  • Work includes mainly evening hours to perform maintenance when vans return from service (typically after 6:00 PM).

  • Occasional emergency response (answer calls to guide groomer to trouble shoot equipment) and going on site during business hours

Compensation

  • Starting hourly pay: $25/hour.

  • Mileage reimbursement at the current IRS standard rate.

  • Company credit card for approved parts and supplies.
